The Le Tour de Filipinas (LTdF) organizing committee announces that the staging of the
country’s first and longest-running UCI-sanctioned road race—listed in the 2026 UCI Asia Tour
calendar—will be postponed to a later date in 2026 due to funding constraints. While we
received strong support and commitments from our partner LGUs, we believe it is in the best
interest of the event and its participants to ensure that LTdF upholds the international standards it
is known for.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who expressed interest in supporting the supposed
continuation of this historic race—especially the Provincial Government of Albay and Sorsogon,
and the City Government of Legazpi City, Sorsogon City, and Naga City for their unwavering
trust in LTdF. We also wish to acknowledge the overwhelming enthusiasm from international
cycling teams and riders, whose excitement to return to Philippine roads reaffirms LTdF’s global
appeal and importance in the region.
Despite this postponement, the organizer is inspired by the renewed energy surrounding cycling
in the Philippines—from the rebirth of local events, to the growing homecourt opportunities for
our Filipino pro riders, to the development of grassroots programs that shape the future of our
beloved sport.
We remain committed to pushing Philippine cycling forward and look forward to announcing the
new date for LTdF soon.
Maraming salamat, and see you on the road in 2026.
